The first BASIS Curriculum School outside of Arizona, BASIS Washington, DC is located in the heart of downtown DC just a few steps from the Naval Memorial and National Archives Museum. The central location of the school makes it accessible to students and families from across the District, and BASIS DC proudly serves students from all eight Wards. Additionally, with a newly renovated first floor, multipurpose room, and gym facility, BASIS DC's 600 students and 68 faculty members will experience classes, auxiliary programs, and community events anew this coming school year.
Having received a Tier 1 ranking from the DC Public Charter School Board, BASIS DC was recently named the top-performing public charter school in the District. Additionally, the 2016-2017 school year saw BASIS DC bidding farewell to its first graduating class. The sixteen students in the Class of 2017 were accepted to over 60 different colleges and universities, and together they earned over $2.5 million in merit scholarships.
As BASIS DC enters its sixth year of operation, every member of the BASIS DC community is committed to building upon the incredible success of years past. From continuing to define BASIS DC culture, to raising the bar for academic achievement in the District, to growing within the network of BASIS Curriculum Schools, the 2017-2018 school year promises to be BASIS DC'’'s best yet.
